Claus Backslash – Insane Dreams E.P.
Release date: 2017-10-30It’s a Coldharbour welcome to the much travelled German Claus Backslash; and he makes his label bow in emphatic fashion with an emotionally boisterous three-track Insane Dreams EP.
A diverse producer, harnessing emotionally melancholic melodies weaved among trance, progressive and techno facets, Claus’ work has been well received throughout the years by the likes of Armin van Buuren and Mark Sherry, as well as Markus Schulz. Having remixed the Lady V featured Watch the World for his deluxe album, Markus invited Claus to showcase his talents through his own Coldharbour channels, and does so to great effect.
The leading track is a swashbuckling piece of energy, with Starcatcher taking things on a harder angle. And Lost Emotions yields a groove-laiden vibe, with all three tracks demonstrating the versatility of Claus’ palette.
With Insane Dreams featured on the upcoming Techno Club compilation by Markus and Talla 2XLC, this is an EP and indeed a name to keep an eye on.
