Release date: 2019-01-25When the concept of Coldharbour Black became a reality, it was inevitable that one of the main label’s most reliable producers would contribute to an early stage. That man of course would be Los Angeles native Mike EFEX; whose captivating tones come wrapped with a heavy infusion of dark bass and beats. And he arrives packed with tempting treats through his BX8 EP.
The title track signalled what would be entailed within the package; once a long-lasting ID in Markus Schulz’s open to close solo sets, and unveiled during the most recent Global DJ Broadcast Afterdark themed episode. Its eerie break thrives in the late hours of a set.
BX8 is complimented by two additional pieces – the head-turning Berzerk, which will appeal immediately to the techno followers; and Chronos, which lets the melody do the talking for a little while, before giving way to more twisted sounds.
For those long nights and for those who partake in open to close solo sets, the BX8 EP contains valuable weapons of choice.
