However, one striking aspect of We Are One: Chapter 2 is an ever-increasing reflection and appreciation towards Solid Stone’s home surroundings; paying homage to the afterhours capital of the world, Montreal, Quebec.
Individually, the tracks Detox, They Come at Night and Just About Right sit right at home in the electric environment of the small hours; with Detox a feature in Markus Schulz’s recent open to close solo set at Stereo, and They Come at Night starring in the special themed Global DJ Broadcast Afterdark.
But for Solid Stone, the We Are One series isn’t just about his own efforts. He recruits rising Dutch talent THNK for the pacey and unforgiving Demorgorgon, whilst Michael Gin returns to the fray with a beautifully lush slice of vocal progressive alongside Dan Robinson, in the form of Moments.
